A search and rescue exercise for an aircraft in distress was organized on 16 November 2017 at Yaoundé Air Base 101 by the CCAA and its partners, the Air Force and all parties involved should a crash occur. After 2013, it was a question of testing the system starting from, warning, search and rescue.

Everything started from a fictional crash scenario of an aircraft bound for Bangui after warning of its disappearance by the Nsiamlen control tower. Subsequently, there was talk of mobilizing all stakeholders at the scene of the tragedy and organizing the search and rescue activities of the victims. The debriefing was done in the presence of the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Transport who appreciated the exercise and invited the actors to more mobilization to keep our system watchful.
