The Minister of Transport repeated the call on December 28, 2017 during a consultation meeting with partner administrations and other actors of civil aviation security in Cameroon at the Yaoundé Nsimalen International Airport.

Indeed, given the current security challenges facing the country, a strategy for implementing security and facilitation measures is being set up in our international airports with the support of PIASAC.The face of our contributions will therefore become more versatile, with the provision of state-of-the-art security equipment, the committing of numerous infrastructural facilities and the commissioning of an operational unit for Airport Security by the CCAA in charge for specific aviation security controls (access control, screening, patrols and guards, maintenance of equipment and security installations for monitoring and video surveillance). It was also an opportunity for the Director General of the CCAA to present extensively, all the actions that will be carried out under the PIASAC project. The Minister of Transport also visited some workstations at the airport and proceeded to hand over the newly built gendarmerie brigade. He enloined all partners to honest collaboration.
