The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has launched this digital platform, also accessible through a mobile application, to encourage governments to reopen borders.

Restore air connectivity as quickly as possible, without waiting for the vaccine(s) that are not expected to arrive until the summer of 2021. This is the goal of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which, in order to encourage States to reopen borders and abolish quarantines, advocates the generalisation of Covid-19 tests and has just launched a digital platform, the "Travel Pass", which should make it possible to restore the confidence of passengers, but above all of governments.

Creating a "digital passport

This platform allows passengers to find accurate and up-to-date information on testing requirements and possible vaccinations before their trip. The platform also gives the passenger information to find test centres or laboratories that coincide with these requirements. Test results or vaccination certificates can also be provided directly to the passenger through the platform. Finally, the Travel Pass can be used by passengers to create a true "digital health passport", check that their tests or vaccinations meet the requirements of the destination country, and manage all travel documentation digitally.
