Madam the Director General of the CCAA has received two (2) Directors Generals on September 13, 2018 at the headquarters of the institution of which she is in charge.

Mr. Jean Pierre KEDI, Director General of the Regulatory Agency of the Electricity Sector (ARSEL) and Mr. Joseph NGO, Director General of the Regulatory Agency of Public Procurement (ARMP).

These two regulators visited the CCAA within the framework of an advocacy towards other Directors Generals of regulatory bodies in Cameroon.

They have been pushing for the creation of a Forum of Regulatory Institutions of Cameroon. The three Directors Generals reviewed the essential points of what they want to set up and exchanged on some projects that could be mutually beneficial to them.

This body it is envisaged will be a platform for exchange, excellence, sharing of best practices to better manage and resolve certain setbacks that regulators often face.

In the short term, it is hoped that each structure would convince its Board of Directors to budget for activities related to the body they wish to create and in the long term, convey their petition to the Prime Minister.

We know that regulators have common problems on the ground in conducting their missions, this framework will certainly allow them to be more effective and better understood.
