From February 12 to 15, 2019 Mr. Abderrahman BERTHÉ, Secretary General of AFRAA led a delegation of the association to Douala and Yaounde as part of a working visit to Cameroon.
On this occasion, the Secretary General of the AFRAA met with senior officials of the Presidency of the Republic, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Transport, and with various actors of the air transport sector in our country, in particular, the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) and the Cameroon Airports company ADC.
Cameroon’s organization of the General Assembly of AFRAA in November, 2019 was certainly mentioned during these exchanges. Hosted in the country through the Cameroon Airlines Corporation (Camair-Co), Cameroon will be the place of hospitality for nearly a thousand participants from more than fifty countries during the AFRAA General Assembly in November in November.
As part of preparations, the AFRAA delegation also visited several sites in Yaoundé (hotels, the Yaounde conference center, etc.) in order to measure Cameroon's potential and experience in hosting international events. This working visit is part of the continuing development of relations between the national airline Camair-Co and its African counterparts. Through their association, airlines in Africa intend to increase the sharing of experiences and pool efforts to better compete with foreign companies.
