On Friday, May 10 2019, the Director General of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) and the Director General of the Telecommunication Regulatory Agency (TRA) jointly apposed their signatures on the manual of procedures for the attribution and control of aeronautical radio frequencies.

The signing of this Handbook marks the culmination of a lengthy process of consultation initiated under the auspices of CIABAF to establish a consensual framework for aeronautical frequency management.

The primary purpose of this Handbook is to clarify, in the light of the laws and regulations in force in Cameroon, the roles and responsibilities of each entity in the management of the frequency resources allocated to the aeronautical service in Cameroon, in particular the planning, attribution and control, as well as establish the mechanism for the protection of aeronautical radio infrastructures against harmful interference.

This ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister of transport, the Minister of post and telecommunications and the other members of the Interdepartmental Committee for the allocation of frequency bands (CIABAF) during its 17th work session.

This strong act symbolizes the will of the two leaders to continue to work together to preserve the safety of air navigation in the airspace and the Cameroonian territory, to the delight of the aeronautical community. Will it inspire other States? We do not loose anything waiting.
