Management control focal points schooled on performance follow-up
They participated in a capacity-building session at the CCAA Training School from March 18 to 21, 2025, at the initiative of the CCAA Directorate General.

The main objective of this training session, which brought together 20 participants from the various structures of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority, was to equip them with in-depth knowledge of the concepts and challenges of management control.
Indeed, in its quest to optimize its performance, the CCAA organized this workshop so that all the players involved in its management system would have a shared understanding and harmonized operational practice on the subject.
The training was led by an expert from the Ministry of Finance's General Budget Directorate. Thanks to his expertise, participants understood the mechanisms of management control, its essential role in improving organizational performance, and the appropriate tools.
A highlight of the course was a retrospective on the evolution of Cameroon's budgetary system. The trainer retraced the transition from the means-based budget, in force until 2007, to the adoption of the program budget. A major reform which has transformed public finance management in Cameroon.
He also emphasized that the modernization of public finance management began with the introduction of management control in 2013.
The legal underpinning of management control was also explored in detail during this training session, as was its importance in the effective implementation of public policies and the achievement of CCAA objectives.
This training session is an important step in CCAA's ongoing quest for excellence and optimized performance. This capacity-building session for its staff will once again enable the CCAA to meet future challenges and thus achieve its strategic objectives.
