CCAA Board of Directors visit the construction site of new headoffice building
This occurred during the 65th and 66th extraordinary meetings of the Board of Directors of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA), held from November 20 to 21, 2025, in Yaoundé. The sessions were chaired by Mr. NGOLLE III Patrice Emmanuel, Chairperson of the Board of Directors, with Mrs. Paule AVOMO ASSOUMOU KOKI, Director General, in attendance, assisted by Mr. ALLABIRA Mamadou, Deputy Director General, who reported on the items inscribed on the agenda.

During these two sessions, several other subjects were raised, notably: the progress of the construction works for the headquarters building, the development projects for the Kribi, Bertoua, and Tiko airports, the Equip4safety project recently presented to the ICAO Assembly, and personnel matters.
Regarding the construction of the CCAA headquarters building, it is a plush edifice currently under construction on a one-hectare plot with a footprint of 1,585 m² and a total floor area of 14,000 m², of which approximately 5,000 m² will be reserved for rental floors.
Currently, the structural works in progress consist of: the pouring of the upper and lower floor slabs of the 8th and 9th floors; the reinforcement and pouring of the VIP underground parking; and the formwork and reinforcement of columns and beams for the rear circulation of the building at the garden level.
Furthermore, pending the delivery of orders placed locally or abroad, the earthworks of the platform continue in order to ensure better visibility of the site and the immediate environment. This is accompanied by the supply and installation of cable trays and ducts, masonry, plastering, the development of roadways and reserves, and the spaces dedicated to the two symmetrical and twin multipurpose meeting rooms, whose decorative and architectural plans feature a design utilizing local materials.
As of November 15, 2025, the project execution rate is 29%, representing 64% for the structural works.

It should be noted that the completion of these works is scheduled for July 15, 2027. The CCAA is acting as the Contracting Authority alongside the BUN’S company, in charge of the works, and the BISSEK Firm as the Project Manager.
The construction cost of this futuristic building is 12 billion (all taxes included).
The major innovation here is the preferential use of local materials, such as Pouma stone, for interior and exterior wall cladding, and solid indigenous wood species for flooring, doors, and other decorative elements.
The members of the Board of Directors also conducted a visit to the construction site of the CCAA headquarters building.
Regarding the Equip4safety project and those for the development of the Tiko, Kribi, and Bertoua airports, discharge was given to the Director General to continue their maturation phase while awaiting the identification of all potential partners for Equip4safety and the financing model for the airports.
At the end of these proceedings, several resolutions were adopted for the smooth running of the Civil Aviation Authority. This includes the files of several personnel members set to retire in 2026 and other subjects related to staff, which were processed.
