Payment for Covid-19 PCR testing now applicable

National and international public opinion are advised that payments for COVID-19 PCR testing will now be made online. As of Wednesday, June 15, 2022, travellers and other interested persons will be charged a flat rate of thirty thousand francs (CFAF 30,000) in accordance with Ordinance No.2022/001 through https://tresorpublic.cm. - the public revenue digital platform of the Ministry of Finance.
This information was made public by a news release from Dr. MANAOUDA Malachi, Minister of Public Health, on June 13, 2022. It is worth noting that Cash payments are also accepted at the National Public Health Laboratory in Yaoundé, Laquintinie Hospital in Douala, and at the Regional Hospital Center in Garoua. The implantation of other cash payment sites is imminent in the city of Bafoussam, and at health posts located at the borders.
The enrolment process at the said platform allows the generation of a unique code and a payment receipt that the user will present at one of the sampling sites in the network of laboratories approved for the realization of these tests. At the end of the process, test results will be routinely verified at border health posts prior to boarding.
