If your luggage has since been found, the compensation to which you are entitled will be either paid for the loss but the delay (see the Montreal Convention), and if traveling on a plane Belonging to a carrier of the European Community, (Regulation 261/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 February 2004).

It is a punishable offence to enter a restricted area of an airport without authorisation. In all these cases, however, the authorisation is ' evidenced by the appropriate access paper.

These include a valid travelling document and a boarding card for passengers, internationally recognised identification papers for crew members and airport security badges and passes for personnel and vehicles. Even if one is in possession of any of these access papers, one does not ' have to wonder about or into other restricted zones not specifically mentioned on one's badge or pass. It should be noted that access control is one of the principal security measures instituted by the aviation community world-wide with the sole objective to protect civil aviation from criminal and terrorist acts.

These acts are not imagined, they are real! It should also be noted that ,: an airport security badge or pass is not a status symbol. ; They are not intended, therefore, to enhance the social status or standing of anybody. They are not issued on the basis of people's administrative, professional or political positions in the society. They are issued on the basis of people's necessary presence or real business at an airport. Above all, let us be reminded that security at our airports is everybody's business.
