All the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority entities celebrated together this year's event under the theme: ‘Constructive social dialogue: a driving force for decent work and social progress’ from April 26 to May 1, 2024.
Round Table and clash of the unbeatable
This theme, which highlights the importance of ongoing and frank dialogue between employers and employees, was developed at length throughout the festivities organized at the CCAA's headquarters and in its commands.
At the round table organized for this purpose, the panellists returned to the regulatory framework established in Cameroon to promote social dialogue. The Director of General Administration listed everything being done within the CCAA to enable employees to work productively and properly remunerated, with safe conditions in the workplace and social protection that even covers families. A video featuring employees sharing their point of view regarding the issue was broadcast.
Alongside the debates, this year's ILD festivities included a football tournament, a handball match, a sports walk, a clean-up campaign and a table tennis competition.

Sports Activities

The highlight of this year's event was the magnificent parade of CCAA workers at the "Boulevard du 20 Mai" followed by a convivial closing ceremony presided over by the Director General, Mrs.Paule AVOMO ASSOUMOU KOKI.
Mrs Paule AVOMO ASSOUMOU KOKI used the occasion to urge her colleagues to avoid flippancy, casualness and blind routine in this sector, where a high level of reliability is required. She also reiterated her commitment to certain values and attitudes, such as excellence, and the desire for continuous learning and self-learning.

The Director General also thanked all those who work assiduously to ensure that our sector continues to score well, following the example of the results of the recent security audit made public, which places Cameroon's civil aviation security system above the regional and international average.
Worth noting is that the CCAA's  Directorate General is committed to providing a unique and optimal environment for its employees through the various buildings it has and is constructing, notably the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), the Training School, the Search and Rescue Centre (SRC) and the CCAA headquarters building, on which work has already begun. By and large, the staff remain mobilised to achieve sustainable productivity for the CCAA, as per the expectations of the top management of this constable of Cameroon's skies.
