The CCAA and Vallair sign an MOU to strengthen the supply of aircraft maintenance services in Cameroon

The Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA), the government agency responsible for developing civil aviation in Cameroon, and Vallair, a Franco-Luxembourgish multidisciplinary specialist in MRO and mature aeronautical assets, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 10 July 2024. The MoU aims to enhance cooperation in aeronautical training, aircraft maintenance and dismantling, and workforce training and development.

The members of these two regional groups, which are responsible for the planning and implementation of navigation services and air safety, met on July 19, 2024, to discuss the content of the new joint entity to be established, while taking into account regional and global plans to fully play their role and meet key challenges of air navigation in Africa and the Indian Ocean.

The event was opened July 15, 2024 by the Vice-President of the Republic of Gabon, Mr Joseph OWONDAULT BERRE, in the presence of the President of the ICAO Council, Mr Salvatore SCIACCHITANO, the Secretary-General of the ICAO, Mr Juan Carlos SALAZAR, civil aviation directors general including Mrs Paule AVOMO ASSOUMOU KOKI from Cameroon, executives from the aviation industry, and numerous stakeholders in the African and Indian Ocean aviation sector.

CCAA: The Director General installs recently appointed managers 

On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, the Director General of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA), Mrs. Paule AVOMO ASSOUMOU KOKI, and Deputy Director General, Mr. Allabira MAMADOU, presided over the installation ceremonies for newly appointed operational and support structure managers at the CCAA headquarters in Yaoundé.
