CCAA present at 2019 Aviation Africa Summit

The 4th edition of the aviation industry fair in Africa took place from 27 to 28 February in the Rwandan capital Kigali. During these two days participants exchanged and made exhibitions on different aspects of the aviation industry.

The importance is the strengthening of cooperation and collaboration between the different states and to foster the integration into the Single African Air Transport Market by all to strengthen interconnectivity in Africa.

The CCAA took part in this show through the subscription of a stand and the participation of its managers in the various presentations in auditoriums. The courses taught by the CCAA training school were the main attraction of it stand. The Cameroon civil Aviation Authority  presented to sector stakeholders its Training School (EFO) and its newly inaugurated training center as ICAO Civil Aviation Security (AVSEC Training Center) which provides training solutions to sector staff in the Central African sub region.

Placed under the high patronage of the Rwandan Ministry of Transport, Aviation Africa 2019, is in line with the prospect of bringing to the limelight, the potential of the civil aviation market on the African continent.

A give and take rendezvous, this event was attended by more than 70 exhibitors and 800 delegates from five continents. Delegates from around the world met to learn about the innovative ideas and products that shape the future of continental air transport.

Many topics were discussed during these exchanges such as: Developing 21st Century Solutions and Regulations to Support Africa's Open Skies; role change: reinforcing the need to change the perception of women in aviation etc. Rwandan President Paul Kagame, who is also President of the African Union (AU), presided over the opening of the show. In 2018, the event attracted 700 delegates and 56 exhibitors.
