The Director General and the Deputy Director General of the CCAA, accompanied by heads of departments, welcomed, on Wednesday, 20 July 2022, the trainees of the 17th class of the War School (ESIG). This class was composed of 60 trainees from 21 countries, of which Cameroon.
This visit was part of the training program of the ESIG, which provides for exchange activities with institutional actors who interact with the defense forces in the execution of their missions. The visit presented an opportunity for the trainees to learn about the mission of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) - the government's secular arm for coordinating and monitoring civil aviation activities on the national territory.
In his welcoming remarks, the Deputy Director General expressed his gratitude for the interest shown by ESIG in the CCAA. The CCAA treated the trainees to a presentation titled- "The role of aviation in the development process and the quest for the emergence of Cameroon" a presentation followed by a question and answer session.
It is worth noting that the CCAA and the armed forces are already working closely together on various issues within the framework of civil-military cooperation, which is essential for the safe and orderly development of civil aviation. This meeting thus contributes to the strengthening of this cooperation.
The Deputy Director General of the CCAA and the representative of the Commander of the Yaounde International War College (ESIG) expressed deep satisfaction at the end. They both found the exchanges enriching. The Director General and the representative of the Commander of ESIG exchanged gifts at the end of this warming visit.
