The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the 42nd ICAO Assembly by the Director General of the CCAA, Mrs Paule Assoumou Koki, and the Director General of the General Civil Aviation Authority of the United Arab Emirates, Mr. Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, on Tuesday September 30 2025 in Montreal.

It covers technical, financial and strategic support from the Emirates for the Equip4Safety digital platform, an innovative initiative led by the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority that aims to revolutionize access to and exchange of new and used ground support equipment for airports and air navigation.
The protocol also provides for close collaboration between the two Authorities on international advocacy and promotion of the Equip4Safety platform.
The objective of Equip4Safety is clear: to promote a circular economy and ensure equitable access to reliable ground equipment that is essential for safety.
The CCAA and GCAA are thus joining forces to contribute to the ICAO's ‘No Country Left Behind’ initiative and further strengthen the operational capacity of African States in the face of the challenges of modern aviation.
