Bamenda Airport: Two Camair-Co Test Flights on the Runway
Two aircraft of the national airline Camair-Co landed on the tarmac of Bamenda Airport on Sunday, March 29, 2026. These were test flights, carried out respectively by a Boeing 737 and a Q-400, for the final validation of air navigation procedures recently approved by ASECNA. This demonstration once again reassured the reliability of the equipment used and the security system implemented on site in preparation for the imminent arrival of Pope Leon XIV.

Bamenda Airport: CCAA Mobilizes Operational Expertise for the Visit of Pope Leo XIV
In anticipation of the historic upcoming visit of Pope Leo XIV to Cameroon, Bamenda Airport is undergoing major operational upgrades under the rigorous coordination of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA). In addition to various works carried out on the platform, on Wednesday, March 26, 2026, the ASECNA calibration aircraft landed at Bamenda Airport to validate flight procedures, in the presence of the Governor of the North-West Region, Adolphe Lele Lafrique.

The CCAA organized this training session from March 16 to 20, 2026, at its Training School (EFO) to equip sector professionals with tools to identify potential risks induced by the numerous changes that can occur in civil aviation and to propose adequate mitigation measures.
