Distinction of outstanding figures from the Agency for Air Navigation Safety in Africa and Madagascar ASECNA

The Director General, Mr. Prosper Zo’o Minto’o, took the decision to award the ASECNA Medal to illustrious personalities who have distinguished themselves in particular by their exceptional commitment and their remarkable contribution to the influence of the Agency. The presentation of the distinctions took place on the occasion of the Headquarters Staff Day, in the presence of members of the Board of Directors. Let’s get to know these personalities better.

By awarding the Aeronautics Medal to Mrs. Paule Avomo Assoumou and Koki, the Director General of ASECNA rewards “an exceptional contribution to the development of ASECNA and African civil aviation”.

It is a tribute to the constant commitment of a leader whose action goes beyond national borders to strengthen regional cooperation in the field of civil aviation.

A leading figure in the sector, Ms. Koki occupies strategic positions at the continental level, notably within the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) and the APIRG.

The first female aeronautical engineer in Cameroon and a graduate of ENAC in Toulouse, she has climbed all the ranks on the technical and administrative levels. Since her appointment as head of the CCAA, she has successfully led decisive major reforms in the continuous improvement of the performance of Cameroonian civil aviation during ICAO audits.

With this distinction, the Agency honors a high-level expert whose career and dedication constitute a reference for the new generation of African civil aviation executives.
