National Security Committee (CNS) and Airport Security Committee (CSA)

Established in accordance with Decree No. 2023/452 of 18 October 2023 to approve and render enforceable the National Civil Aviation Security Programme (NCASP), the National Civil Aviation Security Committee is an advisory body that assists the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority not only in determining and coordinating strategic orientations and national policy on aviation security, but also in continuously reassessing the level and nature of threats to civil aviation within its territory and the airspace above it. It holds ordinary sessions twice a year. It is chaired by the Minister in charge of civil aviation.

The Airport Security Committee

An Airport Security Committee, chaired by the competent Divisional Officer, is established at each civil airport in Cameroon open to commercial air transport operations. It is an advisory body whose purpose is to ensure coordination in the implementation of security measures and procedures at the airport platform level.
