The career path within the Airport Security Units of the CCAA is structured around four categories of Airport Security Officers (ASO):

• Managers;
• Supervisors;
• Screening Officers;
• Security Guards.

Each role defines a set of responsibilities and career progression pathways.

In addition, within the Airport Security Units, there are Dog Handlers who are responsible for conducting canine security checks.

Recruitment of Airport Security Officers (ASO) is carried out exclusively through competitive examinations, the procedures of which are determined by the CCAA.
