Aircraft owners and operators, as well organisations in charge of maintenance and management of continuing airworthiness maintenance, wishing to carry out their activities in Cameroon, must hold the relevant aviation titles (certificates, approvals or authorisations) issued by the CCAA.
This requirement is intended to ensure compliance with the applicable regulatory provisions and to guarantee a high level of civil aviation safety in Cameroon

Registration
In accordance with Articles 17 and 18 of the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation, an aircraft has the nationality of the State in which it is registered and may not be validly registered in more than one State at a time.
As such, the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority is responsible for maintaining and managing the Cameroonian civil aircraft register.
To obtain a certificate of registration, a certificate of de-registration, a certificate of non-encumbrance, a transfer of aircraft ownership or the registration of mortgages, the applicant must:
- Complete form CMR.AIR.FORM.XYY, available on the DASIS platform (dasis.ccaa.aero);
- Attach all supporting documents confirming the information provided in the form;
- Send the duly completed form, together with the attachments, to the following email addresses:
- contact@ccaa.aero and
- airworthiness.oversight@ccaa.aero;
- Submit the complete physical application by post to the attention of the CCAA’s Directorate General.

Certificate of airworthiness
The certificate of airworthiness is a document issued by the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority certifying that an aircraft complies with the applicable technical requirements and may be operated safely. It is an essential requirement for the lawful operation of an aircraft and must remain valid throughout its operational life.
To obtain or renew an airworthiness certificate, the applicant must:
- Complete form CMR.AIR.FORM.XYY, available on the DASIS platform (dasis.ccaa.aero);
- Attach all supporting documents confirming the information provided in the form;
- Send the duly completed form, together with the attachments, to the following email addresses:
- contact@ccaa.aero and
- airworthiness.oversight@ccaa.aero;
- Submit the complete physical application by post to the attention of the CCAA’s Directorate General.

Flight permit
A flight permit may be issued to an aircraft when it is temporarily unairworthy and the operator wishes to conduct post-maintenance tests or to ferry the aircraft to a maintenance facility to restore its airworthiness.
To obtain a maintenance check or ferry flight permit, the applicant must:
- Complete form CMR.AIR.FORM.111, available on the DASIS platform (dasis.ccaa.aero);
- Attach all supporting documents confirming the information provided in the form;
- Send the duly completed form, together with the attachments, to the following email addresses:
- contact@ccaa.aero and
- airworthiness.oversight@ccaa.aero;
- Submit the complete physical application by post to the attention of the CCAA’s Directorate General.

Organisations responsible for airworthiness
The maintenance of aircraft entered in the Cameroonian aircraft register must be carried out by a maintenance organisation approved by the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority or one that has an equivalent maintenance system, in accordance with the provisions of Annex 6 to the Chicago Convention.
To obtain or renew approval as an aircraft maintenance organisation, the applicant must:
- Complete form CMR.AIR.FORM.201, available on the DASIS platform (dasis.ccaa.aero);
- Attach all supporting documents confirming the information provided in the form;
- Send the duly completed form, together with the attachments, to the following email addresses:
- contact@ccaa.aero and
- airworthiness.oversight@ccaa.aero;
- Submit the complete physical application by post to the attention of the CCAA’s Directorate General.
An aircraft operator registered in Cameroon may use a maintenance organisation approved abroad. In such cases, the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority will validate the foreign approval to ensure compliance with the applicable requirements.
To obtain or renew a valid approval for an aircraft maintenance organisation, the applicant must complete form CMR.AIR.FORM.203, available on the DASIS platform (dasis.ccaa.aero), and follow the process described above.

Airworthiness management organisations are responsible for all administrative, technical and organisational activities aimed at ensuring that an aircraft remains in compliance with its type definition and can be operated safely throughout its service life.
To obtain or renew approval as an airworthiness management organisation, the applicant must:
- Complete form CMR.AIR.FORM.401, available on the DASIS platform (dasis.ccaa.aero);
- Attach all supporting documents confirming the information provided in the form;
- Send the duly completed form, together with the attachments, to the following email addresses:
- contact@ccaa.aero and
- airworthiness.oversight@ccaa.aero;
- Submit the complete physical application by post to the attention of the CCAA’s Directorate General.
An aircraft operator registered in Cameroon may use a continuing airworthiness management organisation approved by another State. In such cases, the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority will validate the foreign approval to ensure compliance with the applicable requirements.
To obtain or renew the approval of an aircraft maintenance organisation, the applicant must complete form CMR.AIR.FORM.403, available on the DASIS platform (dasis.ccaa.aero), and follow the process described above.
